I am installing sap r/3 enterprise 200 sr1 on windows 2003 server. While installing the central instance on the server with the parameters
Database ID(DBSID) - I enter the SID here
Host(<computer>\<instance>for named instances) - I enter the hostname of the db server
I encounter the errors in the logs :-
MDB-05036 Error when creating sqldmo SqlServer object
MDB-05034 Call to a threaded function returned "1"
The database is hosted on another server and installed. I added the db hostname on the hosts file and its pingable. Does anyone have any input on this ? Did I miss out some steps to ensure it connects smoothly ? |
