Reply from PSD Rajan on Dec 29 at 4:43 PM Not 29.5476. Just 2,954.7600 :)

If you do, all previous amounts, when presented in reports, etc, will be inaccurate as they will appear with the changed configuration. For example, a previous posting of EUR 2,954.76 will appear as 29.5476 after you change the decimal places from 2 to 4 for EUR. As an alternative, consider setting up a new currency, say EUR4, with four decimal places and use this for your EUR purchase orders.
