Reply from rapturek1 on Apr 17 at 3:03 AM Hi As you said, " if you want to link the two personnel numbers retrospectively, you would need to manually create the IT0031 record against your new Personnel Number". Now my question is if i maintain IT0031 manually, then am i in a position to get my data old data under new personnel number ? Regards

In this way, a new personnel number would be generated for the new record, but typically static employee master data would have been pulled through from the old into the new record as a way of minimising duplication. Using this process, you can update the data and/or create new data as required. This would not affect payroll, since the new record is valid only from the new hire date, but details such as personal data and address can be re-used, or changed as required. Following this procedure, the Reference Personnel Number is linked to the new record via IT0031, which is created automatically during such a hiring action. If you did not hire your new employee using the Reference Personnel Number (from your message, I think this is the case), you will not be able to see the Reference Personnel Number field if you go into IT0000 via PA30. So, if you want to link the two personnel numbers retrospectively, you would need to manually create the IT0031 record against your new Personnel Number. Another thing you should take into account would be if you want to use IT0041 Date Specifications to record the original date of start (for purpose of continuous employment reporting). Also, if your organization regularly re-hires employees, you may want to consider reviewing your hiring processes to make the most of the standard SAP functionality of the Reference Personnel Number. I hope this is helpful. Alison | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
