This page is useful for query based reports not for other types.
However, as per the book "BI publisher for peoplesoft" we can also run reports using process scheduler(Chapter 6) but it requires a custom run control page to be designed.
What I don't understand is , As per this book, we need to design the page which should ask for prompt value, report, template name, language, and as of date.
Why do we need to pass prompt value, template name, language?

Hi All,
I have started learning BI publisher and during this course I tried to get some hands-on in creating report.
I followed the documentation provided by oracle hence as per the procedure, I first created a data source(i didn't create it, it was already there instead) and then I defined report definition for this data source, below are the details:
Report Name - PRTCAADV
Description - Print California Advice Forms
Data Source Type - XML File
Data Source ID - CAADVICES
Data Source Owner - Public
Now, I tried running this report via process scheduler so I first added this report as process using process component as per below:
Process Type: XML Publisher
Name: PRTCAADV
Component -PRCSMULTI
Group - TLSALL
But, when I ran this process I got below error:
Application program PRTCAADV not defined
I am surprised as why this error is comming, the program is not an app engine program
