While excuting a COMMIT is possible in PeopleCode or SQRs, restarting at the point of last commit is not possible those ways. I'm not sure that I would agree that it is more organized however, as the PeopleCode or SQR could be written in functions in an order similar to how an App Engine would be written. It might be a little harer to read, but it would still function in a similar way. D

If everything is in peoplecode or SQR then you'll start the whole process from the beginning. I guess it all depends on what you're trying to do. But creating an app engine and put everything in peoplecode is not efficient. Not because of speed but to be more organized.
