Reply from aT on Jun 23 at 4:31 PM We have just experienced the same issue. we are running PT8.52.07 on Windows 2008. After upgrade to MS Office 2010, nVision reports ran 4x as before, noticed that xcel was the culprit. De-install MS 2010 and re-install 2007, all nVision reports went back to normal run times. Our conclusion was that MS Office version on the sever must be the same as the windows client ms office.

Our Process Schedulers are running MS Office 2010 but our workforce might not have it. They might be on an older version. Has anyone seen any issues regarding this? Does anyone have any feedback on this? We are on PeopleTools 8.52.04. Thanks -Cory From Oracle Support... Starting with PeopleTools 8.49, Oracle supports Office 2007 and 2010 with nVision. However, there are some limitations: 1) nVision uses and generates reports only in HTML and XLS format. 2) nVision doesn't use the .xlsx format which is Excel 2007 format. Note: Microsoft has changed the file format to be a standard XML format. Once a file is saved in this format, it is not compatible with older versions. Because of this, when migrating to Office 2007, the version of Excel on your Process Scheduler servers must match those on the desktops of the end-users. | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
