[peopletools-l] Consuming a Web Service

Question from wslee00 on Jan 25 at 8:21 PM
Hi - I've been following this tutorial: http://peoplesoft.wikidot.com/consuming-a-web-service

In it, I understand how they are consuming the web service and how PeopleSoft generates the Service, Service Operation, Messages, etc.

What I DON'T get is how they are generating the xml to be sent out to the web service.

When they create the pagelet, in step 3, something in the wizard is grabbing the input parameters for that specific web service, but I am unsure of how they are doing that. Are there some delivered app packages that parse through the wsdl, or the resulting xsd for you?

In addition, on step 5, I am unsure how they are sending out the message. I'm thinking there is some generic app class that can generate the soap message, but I am unsure where that would be. Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance.
