Reply from sumandattsharma on Apr 9 at 12:04 PM The duty which we paid to the government we recover from the customer like in your case if we move stock from plant to depot @ rs 100 so in that case excise duty would be rs 10.30 which we suppose to pay to the government and at the time of selling to the customer we would recover this amount form the customer . If we are selling goods to the customer other then @ rs 100 then we have to pay the difference amt to the customer. Example - If we selling @ rs 110 to the customer then in case we have to pay excise duty 10.30( At the time of STO) + 1.30( At the time of selling to the customer) = 11.60 . Thank you, Suman Datt
