If for goods with price 1000 or less, you could assign the value of condition type ZEX1 (from my above post) to 124.
Taking 12.4% from Suman's post.
In other words, my earlier made suggestion would still meet the business requirement.

Hi Friends,
I have created 2 conditions ( e.g: Z1 & Z2) and excise duty is calculated on both these condition but there is a catch in the calculation. the situation is as below:
1. If Z1 is greater than Z2 then excise should be calculated on Z1
2. If Z1 is less then Z2 then excise should be calculated on Z2
Can the above be achieved with exclusion. If yes then how.
