Reply from AyanM on Jun 22 at 1:14 AM Dear Eric, We are using tcode F-29 to receive the payments via card and are segregating them via a special G/L indicator. If we store the approval number instead of the credit card number say in the assignment field would it be possible to reconcile the invoices against the incoming clearings? Also what are the alternative fields to store the Approval No. in the invoices and the clearing docs and how to fetch them in the standard transaction screens? Regards, AyanM

However the problem is that the client is not looking forward to automate the system and neither want to add any existing configurations pertaining to mapping credit card scenarios in SAP, which falls mostly under SD/CRM modules. Although I have been able to segregate the payments received via credit cards by maintaining a special G/L indicator, which allows me to segregate the incoming payments in FBL5N, now the client also wants to maintain specific details of the cards. AS of now my understanding is that in order to maintain card data we need to gear up existing security protocols or we need to implement SAPCRYPTOLIB. However my question is how can this issue be addressed without going into this sort of development and is there any way around? Also please let me know whether I am correct in developing the scenario as per the client's initial requirement?
