You can create business unit in the org structure and assign a BP id. Create a partner function called "Business unit" and include the partner function in the partner determination procedure. The assignment of Business unit BP id to the Business unit partner function can be done automatically or manually.

Usually, the end user creates an opportunity and assign it to some specific employee to be employee responsible for the opportunity. In some cases, the end user has no idea to who specifically the opportunity is supposed to assign because end user is not familiar with all the employees such as names and responsibilities. So that, the end user can only assign this opportunity to relevant business units( maintained in org. structure like ABC downtown branch). Therefore, all the employees under this business unit can see this opportunity. So, Please advise how to assign an org. unit to be BP responsible for the opportunity. Thanks. |
